Model portfolios and publicity photographs for Stage and TV personalities
Portrait photography and model portfolios are my speciality as I understand how nerve racking it can be to appear in front of the camera, so I tend to work fast whilst creating a relaxed and fun environment to be in.
Entertainers, actors and cabaret performers need to keep their publicity pictures up to date and relevant which is why so many come back time after time and go away with an eye catching and professionally produced promotional photograph. Converting that image into a poster, leaflet, CD case, business card or simply a 10x8 print is a simple and effective add-on which will not cost the Earth but will add impact when your face lands on an agents desk.
Creating impact and standing out from the crowd is the name of the game!!
Aspiring models need to feel comfortable when building their portfolios, which is why I often start with outside shots using natural daylight and familiar surroundings then move inside to a more controlled lighting setup including specific backdrops. You will be guided on styling different looks, how to pose and what agents and bookers are really looking for when they view a new clients portfolio.

So what's involved in a typical shoot?
For a start - there is no typical photographic shoot!! Whilst most tend to follow a similar process, your requirements are obviously different from everyone else. For stage performers, I always ask you to look at artistes you admire, look at their latest CD covers or publicity material to get ideas. Bring them with you and we will be able to work along those lines. If you don't have any idea then together we will create an image that works for you, gets your personality across and sells you as a person.
For model portfolios, you will need to bring a couple of changes of clothes and allow approximately two hours for the shoot. Wear clothes you feel comfortable in and ones you feel express the type of person you are. There is nothing worse than seeing an image and thinking that person does not look right in that shot! When you arrive I will talk you through what you want to get from the day, where you see yourself working and how you expect to get there. All this helps me plan your shots.
Also, if you are under sixteen you will need to have a parent or guardian present.
What if I don't like my images?
Not a problem - I will not take it personally! You will not be charged if I do not deliver. I will however try to see where things went wrong and see if they can be corrected, sometimes this is simply a matter of communication - but we will get there!How much will it cost?
This is the question everyone wants answered! Depending on location, expenses and print requirements most clients tend to spend between £100 and £200. This will obviously vary depending on what you are looking for but I hope this will give you a good starting figure whilst at the same time not stop you from contacting me with your ideas to get a more comprehensive quote.
Creating an image you are happy with is the most important step towards gaining extra work - building the brand "YOU" means working hard to find the right look and personality and how that can be expressed in your photographs
